Jan Piribeck is an artist and Emerita Professor of Art, University of Southern Maine, USA.

She has four decades of experience in arts education including working with youth as a museum educator. She sees artmaking as a form of personal and societal expression that can lead to individual and collective well-being. Her studio practice combines painting and drawing with digital media, and her community work includes organizing public treks to observe sites of ecological significance.

Professor Piribeck has done interdisciplinary projects that most recently have been tied to Maine-Greenland Collaborations, which looks at the impacts of social and ecological change on coastal communities in Maine and Greenland.
